BLESS THIS YEAR (2015)

There’s a blessing in the weekday Amidah that reads, “Blessed are You, Adonai our God, who blesses the years.” When I discovered it, I was confused why we would bless the “years” every day, but I realized that it teaches us to treat every day as an opportunity to begin again. No matter how much we screw up or fail in our efforts, another year starts every day.
