FADE AWAY (2019)

A riff on the “Modeh Ani” prayer which begins every morning service. I wrote this song in response to the frustration of feeling like the world was too full of bad news and struggle. I felt overwhelmed by how bad things seemed and my utter lack of control over the world. While this song seems bitter and cynical, it’s filled with empathy for everyone who’s ever been burdened by their troubles.
