SHAKE THE DISEASE (2019)

A reimagining of Depeche Mode’s early ‘80s synth hit “Shake the Disease” as a rock tune. I think the best covers bring something new out of a song, highlighting an emotional angle or a depth of interpretation that the original doesn’t get to. The melancholy of the original set aside a certain frustration and even anger that’s in the text.
